Snowflakes, doilies, and a mystery
Time to start making holiday decorations, even though i'm not finished making things for Halloween yet lol! I've made some snowflakes that still need to be starched. These are designed by Kathryn A. Clark from the book White Christmas in Thread Crochet. I'm working on having a few sets of them available in my etsy shop soon.
Here are some other projects I've been working on-
This is doily number 10/Precious, designed by Patricia Kristoffersen. I used Aunt Lydias size 10 thread and a 1.75 mm hook.
Pineapple fingerless gloves designed by Shirley Patterson.
Pineapple Seraphim tree topper. The pattern is designed by Cylinda Mathews.
I might try changing the outer rounds of this doily and leaving the center as it is.
Becharmed designed by Patricia Kristoffersen. I used Artiste size 10 thread in the color papaya with a 1.75 mm hook.
Bernat and Jo-Ann are having a mystery stitch along! So far three out of four clues have been released. The colors i'm using for my blanket are vintage white, light teal, country blue, and sailors delight. I also went with a larger hook, 10 mm. My helper decided to take a nap in the sun while I was taking pictures lol.

Spiders
These spiders are quick and easy to make. There are 2 sizes, the spider measures about 2" and the spiderling measures about 1 1/2". All you need to make them is a small amount of thread, size 3 or size 10, and either a 2.75 mm or 1.75 mm hook. The pattern is available for free here- Crochet Spider and Spiderling.
In the pattern the ends are used to make a loop for hanging but they can be woven in if you prefer. For the spider I used Aunt Lydias size 3 thread and for the spiderling I used Nazli Gelin Garden size 10 thread.
Here are different color ideas from some of the spiders found around Azeroth. Clockwise from the upper left hand side they are the felspider, crystal spider, twilight spider, and ash spiderling.
I hope that you enjoy making the spiders and also try not to get eaten by any!
