Spring Song

This doily is 15 rounds and measures 7 1/2".  A version of this doily with a picot border is available here.

Materials-

• size 10 thread in 2 colors (150 yards for color 1, and a small amount for color 2)
• 1.75 mm hook

Special stitches-

4-dc decrease- keeping last loop of each dc on hook, dc in next 4 dc, yo and draw through all 5 loops on hook

beg 2-dc decrease- ch 2, dc in next dc

2-dc decrease- keeping last loop of each dc on hook, dc in next 2 dc, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook

cluster- keeping last loop of each dc on hook, 2 dc in next dc, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook


Instructions-

with color 1 ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook to make a ring

Rnd 1- ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch 2), (dc in ring, ch 2) 7 times (8 dc and 8 ch 2 spaces)

Rnd 2- ch 3, dc in same st, ch 3, (2 dc in next dc, ch 3) 7 times, sl st in 3rd ch of first dc

Rnd 3- ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next space, ch 2, [dc in next 2 dc, ch 2, dc in next space, ch 2], repeat from [ to ] 6 times more, sl st in 3rd ch of first dc

Rnd 4- ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3, [dc in next 2 dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 3], repeat from [ to ] 6 times more, sl st in 3rd ch of first dc
